Mr Zhao You Ning, 32, founder of Old Amoy Chendol, opens the first stall at Chinatown Complex Food Centre. The chendol was founded in 1950s by Mr Zhao's grandfather who used to sell chendol off a push cart along Amoy street.

Every single ingredients in the bowl of chendol were thoughtfully sourced; where the chendol itself is made fresh everyday, pure gula melaka from Sarawak, cold-pressed coconut milk and Japanese adzuki beans (cooked over charcoal fire daily) are used.

Old Amoy Chendol serves chendol at $2 per bowl and is definitely one of the best and affordable chendol to go for in Singapore.
